Medtronic

February is a month often associated with love and hearts, and this year felt especially meaningful as I got to work with the Medtronic Women’s Network to run a workshop on women’s heart health and nutrition.

It's often surprising to most people that heart disease can present differently in men and women. This workshop was specifically designed to raise awareness on those differences and, most importantly, what we can do about it as high-performing professionals with busy schedules.

“The session was extremely well received. The level of interaction and questions during the session reflected how engaged everyone was, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Many colleagues shared that they walked away with a better understanding of how to make healthier choices sustainably. We highly recommend her to any organisation looking to promote healthier lifestyles among employees.”

I introduced a framework of simple food shifts that support heart health, along with realistic strategies to stay consistent whether cooking at home or eating out in Singapore's context.

Because beyond awareness, what truly makes a difference are realistic nutrition choices we can apply in everyday eating.

Nutrition workshop for Medtronic Women's Network

While the focus was on women's heart health specifically, it was truly heartening to see a good number of gentlemen in the audience – a meaningful reminder that we all play a significant part in one another's health and wellbeing!

It was great to see positive feedback from the participants. Everyone walked away with simple but high-impact prevention measures, along with a bespoke nutrition toolkit with the principles and lifestyle shifts from the session that can support long-term heart health.

It was a joy and privilege to work with Medtronic’s Women’s Network, and I look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with this lovely community again.

If you’re exploring wellbeing initiatives for your employees, I’d be glad to share how a tailored nutrition workshop can support your goals. Reach out here to start the conversation.
