What a pleasure to return to Tokio Marine for another Lunch and Learn nutrition workshop!
Following last year’s workshop on Nutrition Essentials for Busy Adults, it was wonderful to see a great turnout again, and even nicer to see familiar faces from the previous session.
This time, our focus was on Conscious Nutrition – a topic that explores the connection between nutrition and sustainability, and answers the question: “how can we eat well for our health while also caring for the planet?”
Together, we unpacked how our everyday food choices have a bigger impact than we think. Because what’s good for our health can also be good for our planet...and those benefits come back around to us!
Time and again, what stands out most from my experience running these workshops is how participants walk away with a deeper understanding of nutrition and sustainable foods – often learning about options they’d never realised existed. After all, it’s far more empowering to discover what you can add to your plate, instead of focusing on what to take away!
It’s inspiring to see companies like Tokio Marine putting a clearer focus on sustainability. It truly starts with people and the everyday choices we make – and our food choices play a crucial role in that.
Beyond building awareness, sessions like this help people see their role not just as individuals, but as part of a collective effort to support the organisation’s wider sustainability goals. And that doing so can be simple, attainable, and even exciting!
