GIC
It's always special being in a room amongst women - each navigating career, family, and everything in between - coming together to talk about health.
I had the wonderful privilege to be back at GIC to lead a workshop on Nutrition for Female Professionals, specially designed to help women understand how nutrition can empower them to thrive both inside and outside of work, through every stage of life.
We explored how women's nutrition needs evolve across the decades, and the key health areas to look out for in each stage. I also highlighted an important but often overlooked issue: the gender bias in scientific research. We also touched on supplements, and I shared a simple framework for making decisions in this area.
Participants walked away with practical tools to meet their nutrition goals realistically and sustainably. Like I always say - there are no drastic diet changes required! It's all about the small but impactful changes we can make in our daily lives.
Everyone also enjoyed a delightful salad buffet spread for lunch, which was a big hit! Some were pleasantly surprised to see Asian ingredients in a salad bowl, and some even expressed that they didn't think "healthy food could taste that good" - news flash: it absolutely can.
Keeping things fun and interactive, we wrapped up the session with a quiz where winners got to take home specially curated bags with goodies from Amazin' Grace.
It was heartening to receive such positive feedback, and to know that the knowledge and tips shared resonated with the audience.
If you're interested in bringing a workshop for your organisation, I'd love to share more about how we can tailor it to your goals. Get in touch here to start!
